Install the WordPress plugin

1. In WordPress admin, open Plugins → Add New.
2. Upload the VoxCartAI plugin zip, or install from the listing when available.
3. Activate the plugin.
4. Open WooCommerce → VoxCartAI (or Settings → VoxCartAI) in the admin sidebar.

If the menu item is missing after activate, clear object cache / refresh admin, then confirm WooCommerce itself is active.

Connect API Key and Agent ID

Credentials bind this store to the agent you configured in the VoxCartAI dashboard. Treat the API Key like a production secret.

1. Copy the API Key and Agent ID from the VoxCartAI dashboard.
2. Paste them into the plugin settings fields.
3. Save settings, then use Check Status / connection test if the plugin offers it.
4. Confirm status shows Configured (or equivalent healthy state).

Rotate keys from the dashboard if they leak, then update the plugin immediately. More on handling secrets: API keys.

Enable the voice widget

The widget is the floating control shoppers use to start a voice session. No theme PHP edits are required for the default install.

• Turn on the Voice widget toggle and save.
• Optionally restrict display to product, cart, or checkout templates if your plugin supports it.
• Keep branding colors close to your theme so the control feels native.
• Disable the widget on password-protected or wholesale-only views if those should stay silent.

Hard refresh the storefront (or purge CDN cache) after enabling so visitors receive the latest assets.

Verify on the storefront

1. Open your store in a private window as a shopper.
2. Confirm the widget appears and starts a session.
3. Ask about a real SKU, stock, or an order ID the agent should resolve from WooCommerce.
4. Open the VoxCartAI dashboard and confirm the session transcript landed.

If the widget is missing: re-check credentials status, theme/CDN cache, and that the plugin is not deactivated by a staging sync. If answers are wrong: confirm WooCommerce REST permissions and that the Agent ID matches the agent you tested in the dashboard.
